Shopify Dashboard: Metrics and what they mean

Learn about the metrics in the Performance Dashboard and what those metrics mean

Updated over 8 months ago

All our Shopify clients, irrespective of their subscription type, have access to our Shopify Performance dashboard. This dashboard provides key user engagement metrics, product coverage, and out-of-stock reports, updated every 48 hours.

Learn more about our Shopify Performance dashboard here.

The dashboard is divided into two sections: the “Summary” block (highlighted in black) and the “Detailed view” with all the key performance metrics. The “Detailed view” enables you to select a specific date range for the metrics, which are updated every 48 hours.

This month summary

The "Summary" block provides a snapshot of the key metrics for the current month:

  • Fit Quiz: MAU – "MAU" stands for "Monthly active users" and shows the total number of shoppers that engaged with Fit Quiz

  • Fit Quiz users: sales conversion – the conversion rate for shoppers that used Fit Quiz and made a purchase (without changing the recommended size)

  • Non-Fit Quiz users: sales conversion – the conversion rate for shoppers that didn't use Fit Quiz

Detailed view and "Add-to-cart" metrics

In the "Detailed View", you can select a specific date range for the metrics, which are updated every 48 hours.

Here are three crucial metrics analyzing “Add-to-cart” behavior with and without Fit Quiz:

  • Total Add-to-Carts with Fit Quiz – the total number of items added to the cart after using Fit Quiz

  • Add-to-Cart conversion: with Fit Quiz – the conversion for products where Fit Quiz was used. It's calculated as a conversion from a pageview to "add-to-cart"

  • Add-to-Cart conversion: without Fit Quiz – the conversion for products where Fit Quiz wasn't used. It's calculated as a conversion from a pageview to "add-to-cart"

User Funnels

We track and visualize each step of the shoppers' journey: from viewing a page and clicking Fit Quiz to receiving the size recommendation and adding it to the cart.

We divide users into two segments based on their interaction with Fit Quiz:

  • "New users" are those engaging with Fit Quiz for the first time

  • "Regular users" are those who have used Fit Quiz before and are currently receiving automatic size recommendations for products

Since these two types of users, New and Regular, have slightly different interactions with Fit Quiz, User Funnel metrics are shown separately for each user segment.

New Users

For New Users the interaction with Fit Quiz typically starts on a product page, thus the User Funnel consists of the following steps:

  • Pageview – how many times pages with Fit Quiz on it were viewed

  • Clicked on Fit Quiz – how many times shoppers clicked on Fit Quiz (a call-to-action button) and opened the Fit Quiz widget

  • Size recommended – this number shows how many shoppers answered the questions in Fit Quiz and received the size recommendation

  • Recommended size added to cart – the number of recommended sizes that were added to the cart. Any cases when a shopper changes the recommended size and adds a different size to the cart are excluded from this metric

New User funnel – Fit Quiz Shopify dashboard

The "Funnel" view shows both actual numbers and the percentage of shoppers that advanced from the previous step of the funnel.

In addition to the Funnel, you can also view graphs showing the number of "Predicted sizes" and "Add-to-carts" for a selected period and (optionally) the previous period.

Regular Users

Our Fit Quiz algorithm automatically recommends sizes to Regular Users for every product they check after using Fit Quiz for the first time. This typically leads to a higher number of pageviews and recommended sizes (compared to New Users). The funnel consists of the following steps:

  • Size auto-recommended – the number of automatically recommended sizes

  • Size pre-selected – once recommended, Fit Quiz would try to pre-select a size on a product page unless it's unavailable or sold out. The difference between "auto-recommended" and "pre-selected" sizes shows how often recommended sizes are out of stock

  • Recommended size added to cart – the number of recommended sizes that were added to the cart. Any cases when a shopper changes the recommended size and adds a different size to the cart are excluded from this metric

The "Funnel" view shows both actual numbers, as well as the percentage of shoppers that advanced from the previous step of the funnel.

Not Supported Products

This graph displays the number of products for which Fit Quiz lacks information and, therefore, is unavailable on your website.

You can locate these specific products by navigating to the "Mapping tab" and clicking on the "Missing Fit Quiz category" or "Missing Fit Quiz model" sub-tabs.

Out of Stock report

This is a highly requested metric on the Dashboard, showing how often recommended sizes are out of stock. We not only provide overall numbers but also show how often a recommended size was out of stock for a specific product. This additional detailed report can be accessed via the “View report” link.
